The PointSlayer picks up where the PointSaver left off. Instead of saving the break-points in Kohler K-Series, the PointSlayer does just that.

 

PTI is short for Photo-Trigger-Ignition, and is a battery powered ignition. Mounting in place of the points, the OEM cover is to be reused once the PTI is installed.

 

Since there are no wear components to be concerned about, in theory it should last as long as the worst transistor radio you ever had. Be assured I have never, nor will I ever, had an unhappy customer.

 

* Although all Kohler K-series engines use the same set of breaker points, the exact geometry of the mounting holes relative to the pushrod hole vary between models/ Pushrod lengths vary as well. Please see the application information at the right for details.

Fits all Kohler K-Series single cylinders models except the K91 - It is possible to custom tailor it to work if you are mechanically  inclined.

 

It will fit a K181 perfectly however requires a shorter pushrod. Be sure to specify your model.

 

It has been installed on twin-cylinder models, but again it does require a bit of work, along with a different pushrod. Please call me if you want to know more about what is entailed BEFORE ordering.
